2018 DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award
The DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award was established in 2015 to recognize outstanding teamwork and performance from the unsung heroes who make a vital contribution to the drivers’ success on the track.
Prior to 2016, the winner was determined by the number of first place finishes, but since 2017, the winner has been determined by the points system.
* 2018 fastest pit stop turnaround of 1.97 seconds was achieved at the race by Scuderia Ferrari in the Brazilian Grand Prix – Round 20.
* The total number of pit stops for all teams in 2018 was 538.
* The average fastest pit stop time per race in 2018 was 2.203 seconds.
* The world record is 1.82 seconds, set by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix – Round 20.
